Wedding FAQ’s

Exclusive Use of the Deer Park includes use of the 14 double rooms in the Main House for the night of the wedding. If further accommodation is required, our 14 double and 3 single Garden Rooms can be reserved for the night of the wedding at £160 / £85 B&B respectively. Check-in is at 4:00pm and check-out at 10:00am, with a continental and cooked breakfast served between 8:00am and 10:00am. 

Our guest Dressing Room is available from 12:00pm for those needing to freshen up in advance of the Ceremony, with our cloakroom on hand for the storage of luggage ahead of check-in. 

Our two self-catering cottages, The Playhouse (sleeps 6) and The Shed (sleeps 8) can be reserved for the night prior to the wedding at £595 each, providing a perfect space for the Wedding Party to relax and prepare for the celebrations. Check-in to these cottages is available from 5:00pm on the night prior to the wedding. For a stress-free experience, our team provides a luggage transfer service to move Playhouse and Shed guests’ luggage into their Main House rooms for the night of the wedding. 

Please kindly note, The Playhouse and The Shed are not available to reserve for the night of the wedding, including when a two-day hire is taken. 

Estimates are based on a Set Menu, which involves selecting 1 Starter, 1 Main Course, and 1 Dessert for all guests, aside from any dietary requirements such as vegetarian or gluten-free. If preferred, you could upgrade to a Menu Choice (+£3 per person), allowing guests to choose in advance from 3 Starters, 3 Main Courses, and 3 Desserts. 

Further upgrades to Menu Two (+£10 per person) or Menu Three (+£20 per person) are also available. 

Due to the popularity of our venue and busy wedding season, we are unable to host Menu Tastings during peak months. However, a special tasting event is held every January, offering a sparkling arrival drink followed by a 3-course dining experience from Menu One, accompanied by a glass (or two) of House Wine for £150 per couple. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience our flavours, service style, and portion sizes. 

To ensure the highest quality and smooth service on your special day, we do not allow external caterers. Our in-house kitchen team will design and prepare your wedding breakfast, canapés, evening feast, and breakfast the following morning, ensuring a seamless dining experience from start to finish. 

Our Georgian Orangery bar is licensed until 12:00am (midnight). If you would like to extend your celebrations, a late license extension is available at £250 per half-hour, allowing you to party until 1:00am. 

Corkage can be arranged if you wish to bring your own wine or spirits, however we encourage you to explore our exceptional wine selection first. 

Our in-house Garden Team decorates the communal areas, including lounges, bathrooms, the Loxton Gallery, and the Botanical Conservatory, with seasonal blooms and foliage from the Walled Garden and Grounds. For winter weddings, Christmas décor is usually in place from mid-November to the first week of January. 

Access to the Georgian Orangery is available from 8:00am on the wedding morning for any finishing touches on décor. Our Night Porter will set up the base layout overnight, including tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery, glassware, and white linens. If you prefer, our team can assist with styling, including setting up stationery and décor as per your specifications, for £250. 

Candles are welcome throughout the venue but must be enclosed in hurricane vases. Tea lights and floating water lights are also permitted and work beautifully within the space. 

A selection of additional extras are available to make your day even more special, including Clay Pigeon Shooting (£495), Drape Installation (£495), Champagne Bar (POA), Silent Disco (£500, available from 11:00pm to 1:00am), Canapés (+£10 per person if not included in your package), Ceremony Chairs in place of Benches (£4 per chair), and Fairy Lights (external supplier). 

For your celebrations, fireworks may be arranged through Sonic Fireworks, but only Whisper Displays are permitted before 10:00pm to respect our neighbours and the local environment. 

You will be assigned a dedicated wedding coordinator who will be your main point of contact in the lead-up to your wedding. They will guide you through the planning process and ensure that every detail of your day is imagined and executed beautifully. 

While we are happy to recommend trusted suppliers for your wedding, you are free to select your own vendors should you prefer. 

Our grand Georgian Orangery accommodates up to 190-day guests for you to relax and eat well, with space for more in the evening. There are a variety of spaces both indoors and out if you are looking for something a little more intimate. A minimum of 60 guests applies on a Thursday and Sunday, a minimum of 70 guests applies on a Friday, with a minimum of 80 guests on Saturdays throughout the year. Final numbers need to be confirmed four weeks in advance of the wedding, and your Wedding Invoice will be based upon this figure. 

Please kindly note, day guest numbers may not decrease by more than 10% of the figure confirmed in your initial estimate, and a minimum of 80% of your total number of evening guests must be catered. 

To confirm your booking, a non-refundable deposit of £1,500 per day is required. No provisional holds are accepted. If you are booking a two-day hire, a non-refundable deposit of £1,500 is required per day. Bookings can be made by contacting our team on 01404 41266 (Monday – Friday / 9:00am – 4:00pm). 

The payment plan is as follows: 

£1,500 on confirmation of date 

£1,500 twelve months prior to the wedding 

50% of the wedding estimate six months prior to the wedding 

25% of the wedding estimate three months prior to the wedding 

The remainder of your wedding estimate one month prior to your wedding day based on your final numbers. Any extra costs incurred on the day are to be settled in full on departure. 

Credit cards are accepted (excluding American Express and Diners). We do not accept cash or cheques.
